It has been about 2 weeks since I came back from Prahran and I have to say, I miss it a lot. This trip to Melbourne has got to be one of the best trips I’ve ever gone to, and it is definitely one of those I will never forget.
It was my first time travelling alone to a foreign country, having to deal with everything myself. I wouldn’t say it was difficult or whatever, since I have been travelling almost every year since the age of 2; but I guess the whole idea of being alone, having to remind myself of all the documents I have to carry along was still new afterall. Nevertheless, I’m glad I got to experience this, ‘cause it really made me realise how complacent I was in the past about certain things, as well as how dependent I used to be on others.
I still remember, when I first arrived at Melbourne, I was pleasantly surprised by my one and only sister who was staring at the arrival gates waiting for me with her phone, trying to catch my first expressions (Felt like a superstar for a moment, HAH). I was so happy to see her!! After so long, we finally get to be away together, just the two of us & the feeling just seems so surreal and overwhelming.
Throughout the 12 days of my stay, I’ve been to many places and have met many people. & As much as I feel like blogging about every single activity that I did, I guess it will probably take me a few days to finish (-.-) - which definitely won’t do. Hence, I’ve came up with a list of 3 things that I would like to talk about the most.
#1 The Camberwell Market

Camberwell Market has left one of the deepest impression in me ‘cause it was one of the biggest/most interesting fleas I’ve ever been to. It is probably twice the size of RP’s sports field and it is somewhat like a car-boot flea yet not, as there were many other vendors who had their stalls set up in a tent or with the tables and chairs given as well. However, putting all of that aside, the flea was interesting because it had everything, almost literally. They had guitars, clothes, toys, collectible CDs, furniture and even a submarine headgear (something interesting which I saw). In short, It was just so entertaining walking through the entire flea even though I was not buying anything. But of course that didn’t last very long (the buying part), HAH! I bought stuff definitely! They had so many good deals, why and how would any shopaholic every resist. :/
#2 Brighton Beach
Brighton Beach is yet another place I will love to go back to! The place is beyond pretty! The beach, the beach huts, the dogs that were roaming around.. ahhh, I can just stay there forever. Everything was perfect. What more, I had a chance to have a picnic there as well, along the same beach. Jie and I had so much fun!!
Just look how excited I was when I tweeted;

#3 Melbourne Central
Last but not least Melbourne Central. How can I not talk about this wonderful place right?! Basically, Melbourne Central is just like Singapore’s “town”. They have everything there and people (locals & tourists) like going there a lot. I see no reason why anyone would not actually. They have wonderful food there (Ox tongue, hot bubble tea, the sze chuan food store and the korean food store) & a very awesome cinema which has a beanbag theatre!! (!!!!!!) as well as many other shops! The place is so convenient and bubbly all the time, it was just so nice being around there.
In addition, on top of all those awesomeness, Melbourne Central is also the exact same area that Sharan is staying in, so lucky lucky me, I got to visit her!! & Honestly, it felt like HK all over again and the feeling was so nice. I was really glad to see her. :)

Overall, I think the word “awesome” would be an understatement if I were asked about this trip. I really enjoyed myself and I miss everything there including my sister already. Hopefully, she is doing well on her own. :)
YAYYY! Holidays are finally here!!! Can’t believe 4 months just went past like that. Essays, research paper, group work, test, more tests and presentations; I’M DONE WITH ALL OF THAT~~! (At least for this sem -.-)
Well, the past 2 weeks have been super hectic & I guess that explains all the excitement I have now. ‘Cause i’m finally free from work. & IT. FEELS. SO. GOOD! I have so many things to do under my agenda list and I just can’t wait to fulfill every single one of them. So far, I thought my first week of holidays have been very pleasing. Considering the fact that I didn’t (I think) spent any time the way I didn’t want to. I met up with friends, explored places and got to eat lot of good food and most importantly, I had lots of fun. All these really made me feel that it was all worth it, working so hard back then. (Y)
Going through the week..

On Wednesday, right straight after my final exams (HAH hardcore), my friends & I went to JCube, the new mall for some skating action!!! According to the “i-dont-even-know-who”, the rink is supposedly Olympic sized. I can’t exactly point out the difference between this and the one in Kallang, but I was just glad that I was there,ice-skating. I had so much fun, though we all had our embarrassing moments of trying to balance. HAH & Sylvia who tried to figure skate -.-
Lucky lucky us, the day did not just end like that. After skating, we also managed to catch one ice hockey game! It was such an eye-opener. Haven’t seen any match like that before and I was just so happy! :)
Oh! On that day, too, I finally got my hands on the “Double Down Burger”. It was yummmmssss, but i guess I still prefer Zinger. hah I’m such a sucker for old stuff.

On Thursday..
I paid Shyan a visit over at her workplace (which is also her house). Everytime when i’m there, I never fail to be entertained by all the dogs/cats/hamsters she have. They are always so cute and playful! But of course, above all, I always enjoy her company. ;)
Anyway, that night, we went to try one of the new cafes around her place. It is called Sunray Cafe. The place was super comfy and definitely one of the best places to chill. What more they close at 1am everyday; so whether it is a weekend or weekday, chilling with friends till late is not a problem!
In fact that day, we talked throughout the night, till we even had to rush for my last bus. Hah. It was such a good night.
Finally Friday; it was a good day too! Kinda spent my whole day exploring places. It all started from Rochester Mall to Duxton and then back to town. I was so happy and excited that day. Couldn’t stop telling everyone how awesome Duxton is. There are just so many eateries and shops to visit there! Can’t wait for my second trip already!! heh:p
That day too, I finally got to catch up with Kexian. So glad she got her job!! Can’t wait to visit her at her place when she is back from Bandung! (her new workplace is awesome)
So, this kinda sums up my week and I’m actually very glad that this week has been awesome. Hope it will be the same for the rest of the 3 weeks too!
#HolidaysFTW
First paper down, can’t believe I actually bothered going for it. Honestly don’t know how am I going to fair for this, but hopefully it will still help me to pull up a bit of my grades, somehow. :/
Whatever it is, i’m still mad, mad at the fact that Frank’s part was not even worth my time. & also partly mad at myself for not studying harder enough. Its so frustrating. Its only the first paper. I know I shouldn’t even be feeling like this (now), especially since I have 2 more papers to go. But I just have to clear my mind a bit.
Alright now, back to the books. :/ See you tumblr, on wednesday.
Stop thinking “you could have done better”. There’s no better, you did your best. & I love you for that!

If ever asked, I would say this month’s got to be one of the busiest months ever! 10 birthday dinners dates (most of them which I had to plan for) and a hell lot of other outings with so many of my loved ones. All I can say is, it was awesome-packed-tifying! HAH
Kina Grannis In Your Arms World Tour
I finally got to to attend my first ever concert at Kallang Theatre on the 19 of March. As embarrassing as it may be, i got to see Kina Grannis up close and life. ;) The whole experience was so awesome, really beautiful. The whole setting, the place, the crowd and her just brought out the best night ever. If I could replay the moment again, I TOTALLY would. :)

Aqila and I spotted on 2 of the professional shots by the media! First row seats FTW!!!

& here is what I got Kina to sign;

Hahhaha thinking back, it was really funny! All that we went through just to get her autograph. But I guess it was all worthwhile :’)
Birthdays
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO.. Hwei Shyan (Belated), Jocelin, Fadyl, Shina, Daddy Chin, Aqila, Hannah, Michelle(Belated), Ting & Uncle Andy!
Yes, i wasn’t kidding about the 10 at all. Its really that many! But well, I hope each of them enjoyed the times we had together. It was really not easy juggling all the birthdays actually, especially when most of them are celebrating their 21st. But well, I just glad I really did managed to juggle all of them and I hope i made an impact in their birthdays somehow or another. :)
Wicked
“Defying gravity…” that was all I remembered when I thought of Wicked, roughly about 2 weeks ago. it was because of Sylvia singing very passionately in class. HAHHA (I hope she doesn’t get to read this) But one week after, I finally get to catch this very inspiring theatre show. I thought it was really reallyyyy gooooooodd. The casts’ vocals and act was just spectacular. I was so engrossed throughout. Thanks to my parents for bringing me; I would never want to miss something like that.

Avalon
It was definitely a night to remember. So much fun with everybody. Though it wasn’t my first time there, it felt like it was the only time I really really enjoyed myself there. I’m glad we had that night!
& yes! thats all for march? so far.. hahah
I guess I’ll update the rest another time. Got to rush to school for now! byee!
